Kate Boy are Australian singer-songwriter Kate Akhurst (vocals) and Swedish production team Hampus Nordgren Hemlin, Oskar Sikow Engstrom and Markus Dextegen. Their EP Northern Lights hit the net in November last year and got backed by many publications. Talking about their music Kate Boy said: “We decided to do this on our own: no producers, no money, no fancy equipment; just our minds and ideas.” say the band. A tactic that’s paid off; as one scribe noted, “It’s not their fault that their music oozes luxury.”
The EP includes remixes of the title track by fellow Scandinavian Victoria Bergsman of Taken By Trees and LA beat-maker Belief .
