The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has narrowly kept Life Of Pi off the number spot this Christmas week. Peter Jackson’s fantasy epic beats Ang Lee’s Life Of Pi by just over £2 million but it was released a week earlier.
Life Of Pi continues to wow critics and audiences alike and should comfortably take the number one spot next week.
Elsewhere there are strong runs for musical comedy Pitch Perfect and festive family adventure Rise Of The Guardians. Skyfall continues to break records as the most successful British movie of all time continues to ride high in the charts.
The final instalment of The Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn: Part 2 is slowing down considerably in what is sure to be its last appearence in the UK Box Office Top Ten.
