Lisa Riley became the latest celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing after losing the dance-off against Denise Van Outen.
With only five couples left in the competition the pressure was more intense than ever during last night’s semi-final and unfortunately technical errors became Lisa’s downfall.
As Tess read out the results Lisa and her partner Robin Windsor were the first to find themselves in the bottom two. They were joined by Denise and her partner James Jordan, who were in the bottom two for a second week running.
First to dance was Lisa and Robin with their American Smooth Foxtrot. Denise and James followed dancing the Tango.
The judges had to decide who they wanted to save. Craig saved based on technique and picked Denise and James. Darcey said it was a hard decision but saved Denise and James. Bruno said both couples had done really well but opted to save Denise and James.
We’re gutted that Lisa and Robin didn’t make it to the Strictly final but we’re immensely proud of the pair of them for doing so well. Not only has Lisa proven everyone wrong, she’s also brought a huge smile to the nation over the whole series.
Music tonight came from Katherine Jenkins who also danced with her former Dancing With The Stars partner Mark Ballas. The show opened with a stunning dance from the Strictly professionals.
