The Voice UK: Live final blog

The Voice UK will crown its winner tonight, and with four contestants left – the pressure is on!

Leanne Mitchell, Vince Kidd, Taylor James and Bo Bruce are all performing a song each, and a duet with their coaches tonight

EF will be doing a live blog throughout the show, so come back here at 7.10pm and keep refreshing the page by hitting CTRL+F5 to ensure you see the latest version. We also hope you’ll leave comments and join in the discussion.

Who do you think will win?

19:10: Only ten minutes to go until the start of the show! The final promises to be bigger, bolder, and better than the previous live shows! We’re so excited!

19:15: Five minutes to go!! Who do you think will stand out tonight? EF thinks Taylor and Bo will be amazing! Hurry upRatatouille, finish already!!

19:20: And we’re off! The final has begun! Two full hours of music, Danny O’Donoghue and excitement ahead of us now!

19:24: We’ve seen the final four, and and now the coaches are being introduced to the audience. Sir Tom just gets better with age doesn’t he? We have to say – Holly looks lovely! Nice outfit! Each judge tells us what we can expect from their artists. Has Jessie J cut her hair?

19:28: First up for Team Danny is Bo Bruce. We’re watching her VT now, and she says: “I tried for The Voice because I enjoyed the idea of being judged on my voice alone.” Bo has gorgeous eyes hasn’t she? She’s even made Danny cry! Aww.

19:30: Her song is Sinead O’Connor’s Nothing Compares 2 U. What everybody who covers this song has to watch it to not sing it like the original, so far, Bo has managed to do that. Her style is brilliant! On a normal person, that hairstyle would look awful, but Bo can rock it!

19:33: Danny says: “Everytime Bo sings I have a lump in my throat!” So do we Danny, so do we. Will said: “I saw her rehearse, and I told her I enjoyed it during rehearsal, and now” Jessie said: “I wanted again to express to you how happy am I that a voice like yours has been put to the masses!” Sir Tom told her: “I think Bo is a stylist. She has style. She’s doing a great job!”

19:34: Next is Leanne from Team Tom. We’re not sure what we think of Leanne in the final, whilst she does have a great voice, is she THE Voice?

19:36: Wow. Leanne looks amazing!! Her song is It’s A Man’s World. Her voice is pitch perfect and she’s performing with so much confidence, we might have to take our words back from earlier…. We like her!!

19:39: She’s received a rapturous applause! Rightly so! Tom says of her: “She steps it up every week. She sings it with all she’s got. What you see is what you get. I think and I hope that’s why people have warmed to her, and of course, that fantastic voice.” Danny told her she’s the most technically gifted person on the show. Well done Leanne!

19:41: Whoop – it’s Tyler James time! We hope he doesn’t talk too much about Amy Winehouse’s death, as awful as that was, we don’t want to dwell on the past.

19:44: His song tonight is Michael Jackson’s I’ll Be There. He started a little pitchy, but composed himself straightaway. Is he channeling Jedward with his hair tonight? He still looks lush though… As the song progesses, the screams from the audiences gets higher and his performance gets so much better! He oozes confidence.

19:46: Will said of him: “I had the pleasure and blessing of working with Michael Jackson for four years of my life. If he heard you sing that now, he’d be proud.” Jessie said: “We still haven’t been for dinner Tyler? Ha ha! The fact you sang the women’s part and the man’s part is amazing! Congratulations on an amazing vocal once again” Tom said: “When Tyler sings, I feel he’s putting his own life in it.” Go Tyler! Go Tyler! Danny also loved it.

19:49: Next up is Vince from Team Jessie, and then all four contestants will have sung for the first time tonight! Where does the time go?! In his VT, we see Vince expressing his delight about being in the final. We’d be happy too! We wonder what he’ll do tonight?

19:52: Vince’s song is Many Rivers To Cross. Vince is a good performer, but this song doesn’t suit him. It would suit a Gospel singer, and Vince isn’t one. As much as we love him, his vocal isn’t good enough for this song.

19:54: Jessie said: “Vince styles himself, he produces the tracks himself, he knows who he is, loves his fans and the most geniune person I’ve met in a long time.” Tom said: “When he comes on, he has a lot of confidence. More power to him.” Danny said: “You’ve crossed styles and genres, I’ve never heard that song before, so brilliant!” Will said: “You’ve always been on of my favourite dudes here, to the point where earlier on when we were doing the blinds I was trying to find someone to comete against you. That was dope.” It seems EF is alone on this one then….

19:56: Ooh, we’re now in the ‘Green Room’ type thing with Reggie. Its nice to see Reggie on camera for a change, we miss him!

19:57: The phonelines are now open! How exciting is that?!

19:59: So its now time for the duets. Bo and Danny are first up – EF can’t wait to hear their collaboration. Danny’s also crying in the VT. Don’t cry Danny, but if you need a shoulder, you know where we are…

20:02: Their duet is Professor Green and Emile Sande’s Read All About It. Bo’s brilliant, as always. Danny though, we’re not sure about the rapping. It feels very awkward! Why did he pick this song?! Fail Danny. Fail.

20:04: So a lot of clapping in the studio. Did they wach the same performance as us?

20:05: Now its Sir Tom and Leanne’s time to duet! We’re sure Tom will show Danny how it’s done!! In their VT, we see them go to Ronnie Scotts to practice. WE.LOVE.RONNIE.SCOTTS!!!

20:08: They are singing Mama Told Me Not To Come, which Tom originally sang with the amazing Stereophonics! First note sent a shiver down our spine! When Leanne came in, she gave as good as she got! Go Leanne! Its the PERFECT duet!! They had a huge applause too. Rightly so!

20:11: Next is Tyler and coach will.i.am! Ooh this should be a very interesting duet. But then again, we thought Bo and Danny’s duet would have been good…

20:15: Their song is O.M.G, originally sung by Usher, but composed by will.i.am himself. You’re guaranteed a stellar production by Will, and he hasn’t disappointed us either! Tyler has a good coach in Will. We love this duet!! Tyler’s vocals aren’t the best but it was a great performance.

20:20: The last duet of the night is Jessie and Vince. In his VT, he said: “It’s probably going to be the best time of my life singing with Jessie J.” We also saw them go to Wembley to rehearse. What an experience that must have been!

20:22: They’re singing Jessie’s hit Nobody Perfect. Both have equal singing time which is good and there’s no gimmicks, no awkwardness, just plain singing and duetting! We knew we could count on Jessie!! P.S. the stage is on fire! (sung in the tune of The Roof Is On Fire!)

20:25: We’re now recapping on all of the performances, and remembering how awful Bo and Danny’s duet was…

20:28: Its now time for the first guest performance of the night, Ed Sheeran. He’s singing his new single Small Bump. Ok, as much as we love the scruffy-type look, but did he REALLY have no time to brush his hair?! We’ll forgive him because his voice is gorgeous.

20:32: OMG FROZEN PHONELINES!!

20:34: We’re now looking back at how the coaches found the blind auditions, the battle rounds, dopeness and Sir Tom’s name dropping. We love a trip down memory lane.

20:37: It’s now time to cut the first person.

20:38: First person to leave the competition tonight is Vince! He’s very gracious. He tells Holly: “It’s been a fantastic experience. Jessie has become a very good friend now. I’m happy to go now, get my album done.” Goodbye Vince.

20:41: Jessie and Vince thanks The Voice for bringing it to the UK.

20:44: Ok, so there’s only three left now. Bo, Tyler and Leanne. They’ve also got one more song to sing, and first up is Bo. She’s singing her favourite song from the series, Coldplay’s Charlie Brown. Good choice.

20:46: Where did she get her dress from? EF is going out clubbing next weekend and that dress would be perfect should we get lost.

20:48: She sang it beautifully! Receiving a standing ovation by all four coaches and the audience, Bo truly deserved it! All four coaches loved it! The audience are chanting her name!

20:50: Leanne is next, and she’s chosen to sing Whitney’s Run To You. Her reason: “That song felt so amazing to sing.”

20:52: We might be falling in love with Leanne each time we hear her sing. This performance might have won her the competition! Go Leanne!! After singing, she’s very emotional. So are we. And so is the coaches. Where’s our tissue?!

20:55: Tyler is the last to sing tonight, and then – the winner will be revealed!! He’s chosen to sing Higher Love, YAY!!

20:58: He’s sung it, and it was very good! Will’s now making a speech about Tyler. It’s like he’s running for President!

20:03: OMG the winner will be announced in a bit!!

20:06: Maroon 5 are now on stage! How hot is Adam Levine???!

20:07: We’re dancing to Moves Like Jagger…

20:09: Reggie is now talking to the final three. Ooh the tension and excitement!!

20:10: PHONELINES ARE NOW CLOSED!!!

20:16: Ooh the coaches are now singing together their greatest hits! Jessie J kicks things off with It’s Not Unusual! Sir Tom then sang The Script’s hit, yay go Tom! Danny picked it up and sang a duet, but Tom blew him away with his voice! Will then came in and joined! Its brilliant!!

20:18: So we’ve heard the B.E.P’s Where Is The Love and Jessie J’s Price Tag!

20:20: Gearing up now to find out whose won!

20:22: The winner is…. Leanne!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
