Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen drop new duet ‘I Can’t Love You Anymore’ following surprise live debut

Country heavyweights Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen have officially released their highly anticipated duet, ‘I Can’t Love You Anymore,' via SAWGOD/Columbia Records—just days after unveiling it live to a stunned stadium crowd.

Blending raw, conversational storytelling with aching melodies, the track finds Langley and Wallen trading verses as they navigate a relationship at its breaking point. Written by Langley alongside Austin Goodloe and Joybeth Taylor, the song is also co-produced by Langley with Ben West and Goodloe, further cementing her growing reputation as a creative force both on and off the mic.

The release follows a wave of fan speculation that began weeks earlier. Langley cleverly teased the song in the music video for her Platinum-certified hit ‘Choosin’ Texas,' which has already surpassed 18 million views. Eagle-eyed viewers spotted a hidden clue—a license plate reading “ICLYA”—sparking online buzz when the acronym didn’t appear on the tracklist for her latest album, Dandelion.

Fans finally got their answer this past weekend during a stop on Wallen’s Still The Problem Tour. Performing in her home state of Alabama, Langley made a surprise appearance at Bryant-Denny Stadium, joining Wallen onstage for the live debut of the duet—an unforgettable moment that immediately set social media alight.

Wallen shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting the pair had been discussing working together for some time. After hearing the track, he said, it was an easy yes—calling himself honored to be part of the song.

To mark the release, the duo also unveiled a limited-edition T-shirt featuring a split license plate design, a nod to their respective home states of Alabama and Tennessee—tying back to the visual Easter egg that first hinted at the collaboration.

The duet arrives during a landmark moment in Langley’s career. ‘Dandelion' has made a major global impact, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and breaking records as the biggest week for a country album by a woman in two years. Internationally, the project also cracked the UK Top 10, further expanding Langley’s reach.

Meanwhile, her breakout hit ‘Choosin’ Texas' continues its chart dominance, holding strong on both U.S. and UK rankings, while fan-favourite ‘Be Her' climbs alongside it—making Langley one of the rare country artists to land multiple songs at the top of the charts simultaneously.

With ‘I Can’t Love You Anymore,' Langley adds yet another defining moment to an already historic run—this time, with one of country music’s biggest stars by her side.
