Ramsey expressed his excitement about returning to Europe and the UK, stating, “I am so excited to cross the ocean again and play these Europe and UK shows this fall! It has been far too long. New Lost Ages is to me the best album I have made and I can’t wait to play these songs for folks that I haven’t gotten to see since 2019. Please come out and support- and tell your friends! See you all soon.”
This tour follows the release of his acclaimed album New Lost Ages, which has been praised as an “indie-folk gem” by Americana UK and described by Silent Radio as “an undulating mix of indie, rock, and folk stylings while Ramsey considers the notion of trying to find yourself amidst the white noise of modern society.”
The lead single from New Lost Ages, “These Ghosts,” addresses the lingering effects of leaving a bad situation. Ramsey explains, “This song is for anyone who has left a bad situation behind them only to look down and realize they are still carrying it with them somehow. Letting go – even letting go of something that’s no good – can take time. The pain in your head is just the smoke from a fire that burned out a long time ago.”
Most recently, Audiotree unveiled a stripped-down, acoustic session featuring Ramsey performing several songs from the album, including ‘We Were A Small Town’; ‘Where Were You’; ‘Fires’; and ‘These Ghosts’. Watch the full session here and listen to it here.
