The song opened with Underwood singing accompanied only by her banjo player before the full band joined in.<\/p>\n<p>Towards the end of the song Underwood was joined onstage by a gospel choir adding plenty of goosebumps to every member of the audience and the viewers at home. The unexpected twist elevated the song and made Underwood&#8217;s performance one of the night&#8217;s best.<\/p>\n<p>During the awards Underwood took home Female Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year.
