Explore Amanda Kate Ferris’ new album ‘Rope the Wind’ & its star studded writers

Texas radio sensation Amanda Kate Ferris has announced the release of her much-anticipated sophomore album, Rope the Wind. The album will be available on July 26 and is now available for pre-save. Get it HERE.

Produced by Jimmy Ritchey, the 10-track project features contributions from a roster of acclaimed writers and artists, including GRAMMY-winners Hillary Lindsey, Liz Rose, and Lori McKenna, as well as ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson. The album also features a deeply personal track penned solely by Ferris, emphasising the value of memories over material possessions.

“‘Rope The Wind' is an album that was born from my deepest love for country music,” Ferris shared. “I wanted to deliver powerful vocal performances like the legends I grew up on, such as Wynonna Judd, heartfelt ballads reminiscent of Lee Ann Womack, and a tribute to the timeless sound of 90s country. This album isn’t about following trends; it’s about honouring the traditional country music that I cherish. After two years of hard work, finding the perfect musicians, and collecting songs from Nashville’s best writers, I’ve never been prouder. I’m deeply grateful to the Nashville writers’ community for entrusting me with their songs and to my incredible team for bringing this project to life. ‘Rope the Wind' marks a significant milestone for Ferris, an independent artist who has seen remarkable success in her career. Since early 2024, she has topped Texas Country Radio twice with ‘Tequila & Jesus' and her duet with Chad Cooke Band, ‘Same Place Twice.' She was named New Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2024 Texas Regional Radio Music Awards and the Top Charting Female Texas Country Artist of 2023 on Texas Radio. Her song ‘Pedal Steel' also reached the Top 5 on Texas Country Radio.

To celebrate the release of ‘Rope the Wind' Ferris will perform at Texas Live in Arlington on July 26. She recently showcased songs from the new album during CMA Fest in Nashville and at The Women of Country artist round. Ferris has previously shared the stage with country music stars such as Tracy Lawrence, Josh Abbott Band, Priscilla Block, and Warren Zeiders, in addition to her own headlining and festival dates.
