Walter Presents is bringing three-part German series ‘Berlin Wall' to C4 Streaming with weekly episode drops in November.
The series stars Nadja Uhl, Barbara Auer, Nicolette Krebitz, Oliver Masucci and Godehard Giese. It is written by Gabriela Sperl, Christer von Lindequist, Michael Klette, Charlotte Wetzel, and Michael Krummenacher.
Germany 1987. Two sisters and their grown-up children find themselves on different sides of the political fence in a rapidly disintegrating East Germany. Margot (48) is a major in the state security service (Stasi), Lotte (44) is in the opposition. We meet the women in the chaotic years between 1987-1990 as they fight for their ideals. A third sister, believed drowned years before, turns up in the West with a secret to tell on the eve of the fall of the Wall.
The three sisters’ fates become inexorably intertwined; as the Berlin Wall crumbles, the consequences of their choices reverberate through a nation in the throes of transformation.
The series spans from 1987 to 1990, and it promises to be an engaging and interesting watch.
