Chase Rice to host exclusive listening parties for new album ‘Go Down Singin’

In anticipation of his new independent album ‘Go Down Singin’, Chase Rice is offering fans a special early listening experience at his Welcome to The Farm venues on Wednesday, Sept. 18. These pop-up events will give attendees an exclusive opportunity to hear the album two days before its official release on Friday, Sept. 20. Rice will make appearances at both the Cleveland and Chicago locations during the listening parties.

The listening events, with limited capacity, are scheduled at the following times:

  • 5:30 p.m. in Cleveland, Ohio
  • 7:30 p.m. in St. Petersburg, Fla.
  • 8:30 p.m. in Chicago, Ill.

‘Go Down Singin’ marks a significant shift in Rice’s career as the Diamond-certified songwriter ventures into independent music, exploring a raw, more personal sound. Known for his chart-topping anthems, Rice’s new album showcases a deeper, more vulnerable side of his journey as both an artist and a person. We've heard the album and it's a great listen full of earthy, organic sounds and meaningful, relatable lyrics. We'll be running an interview with Chase next week and a review of the album too.

“Go Down Singin’ is about where I am right now,” Rice shared about the project, produced by Oscar Charles. “It’s about turning all the mistakes and lessons learned into something meaningful. This album is the most honest I’ve ever been, and I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

The Tennessean has highlighted Rice’s transformation, noting that he is “two albums into developing from bro-country’s most legendary songwriter and partier into a thoughtful, Americana-style rocker.” His last album, I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, was praised by Billboard as one of 2023’s best, cementing his shift toward more introspective and meaningful storytelling.

Rice continues to honor his late father with ‘Go Down Singin’, mirroring the cover art of his previous album, which featured his father holding two Coors Banquets. Rice recreated that image for the new album, paying tribute to the man who shaped both his life and music.

“I was a lost kid who lost his Dad. I’m not alone. I know lots of people struggle, too,” Rice admits. “The last record dealt with that loss, and this one is about becoming who you’re meant to be.”
