As SEC Network (SECN) marks its 10th anniversary and ushers in a new era with the addition of Oklahoma and Texas, country music star Brooke Eden has been chosen to revamp the network's theme song, ‘Party Wherever We Go,' for SEC Nation, the weekly traveling pre-game show. The newly revamped theme and opening sequence will debut today at 10 a.m. ET, as SEC Nation kicks off in Gainesville, FL, where the Florida Gators will face the Miami Hurricanes.
Eden, a proud alumna of the University of Florida, expressed her excitement about the opportunity. “Getting to put my touch on the SEC Nation theme song and opening sequence is such a privilege in and of itself. Getting to debut it at my alma mater is nothing short of a full-circle moment,” she said.
In addition to the theme song, Eden will perform her track ‘American Dreamin' on SEC Network at 11:20 a.m. ET, followed by interviews with Laura Rutledge and Tim Tebow.
Brooke Eden's recent achievements extend beyond the football field. She recently performed at The Long Road Festival in the UK and participated in a media blitz across international airwaves. In the U.S., she has been active on stages at prominent PRIDE festivals and returned to the CMA Music Festival in Nashville. Eden also made headlines this summer by sharing her pregnancy news in People magazine alongside her wife, Hilary. The trailblazing artist is also featured in the film ‘Rebel Country,' which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and will open the Nashville Film Festival in September.
SEC Nation originally debuted on August 28, 2014, with a customized version of Robert Randolph and The Family Band’s ‘Take The Party' as its theme song. The song, ‘Party Wherever We Go' was tailored to capture the essence of SEC football tailgates. Ten years later, Eden has brought a fresh twist to the tune, incorporating new sound and lyrics to welcome the Sooners and Longhorns into the SEC family.
As SEC Nation returns to college football this fall, the show will continue to follow the action at the site of the 3:30 p.m. SEC on ABC showdown. Hosted by Laura Rutledge in her eighth season, the show will feature Tim Tebow, Paul Finebaum, Jordan Rodgers, and Roman Harper, bringing fans closer to the heart of SEC football every Saturday.
