‘Pet Simulator 99’ Accidentally Gives Away Hundreds Of Free Huge Pets

0

The most recent Pet Sim 99 update added many new features, worlds, pets and mini-games to amuse us all. Usually, these things amount to more of the same but with a slight tweak but things were very different in this update.

One of the newly added mini-games was the Treasure Hideout. Players would need to loot or buy two halves of the hideout key to enter and once you were in you could spend 30 minutes inside where the loot drop rates are significantly higher than in the normal game world. There is also a small chance of looting the Huge Electric Cat if you get exceptionally lucky.

This is where the free huge pets come in. You see, the guys at Big Games Pets accidentally set the drop rate of the Huge Electric Cat to be much higher than it should have been. I don’t mean by just a little bit either, the drop rate on these things was insane. I went to explore the area just to see it ( I had no idea about the drop rate issue ) and was amazed when I managed to loot five of the huge pets in 30 minutes!

You can check out my amazement in the video below:

Sadly, this error has now been fixed and the drop rate is as it should be but for a while there players were able to grab themselves an insane amount of pets for almost zero effort

Chris Stapleton shows off his comedic talents and performs twice on ‘Saturday Night Live’

0

Chris Stapleton was the musical guest on last night’s episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’ and fans got to see a different side to the musician.

Notoriously shy, Stapleton took part in a comedy skit that saw ‘Saturday Night Live’ regulars Ego Nwodim, Chloe Fineman and Chloe Troast join forces for the ultimate Country revenge song. Stapleton played the man that had wronged the three women, and he contributes vocals too. The song also featured a surprise rap from Ryan Gosling, who was hosting last night’s episode.

Taking inspiration from Carrie Underwood’s ‘Before He Cheats’, the skit saw three women singing ‘Get That Boy Back’. Dreaming up their revenge tactics, one of the women takes it too far. Stapleton proves to be a good sport, wearing a backwards baseball cap and hair ties around his beard.

Also during the show, Stapleton performed ‘White Horse’ and ‘Mountains of My Mind’ from his latest studio album ‘Higher‘. You can watch both of those performances below:

UK fans will get a chance to see Stapleton live when he heads over to this side of the pond later in the year to tour. This will be the first time Stapleton has done a headline tour in the UK. His previous trips were as part of C2C: Country to Country.

How Immortals (2011) Continues to Draw the Attention of Audiences

0

‘Immortals’ is a visually stunning fantasy film directed by Tarsem Singh. It boasts a talented cast of actors, including Luke Evans, who plays Zeus, and Freida Pinto who features as Phaedra. Other notable actors, including Henry Cavill, Isabel Lucas, John Hurt and Joseph Morgan, are also featured.

Greek Mythology as a Pop Culture Staple

In ‘Immortals’, Tarsem Singh offers a captivating take on Greek mythology while weaving together action, fantasy and epic storytelling elements. The plot follows the story of Theseus, who is believed to have been chosen by the gods. With scenes showing features like Phaedra’s temple, Immortals ensures that mythology enthusiasts are fully immersed.

This trend, where content creators draw upon ancient themes to appeal to audiences, has become common in several other industries. In iGaming, especially in online slot design, where it’s become common to integrate multiple themes, game developers incorporate ancient Greek themes to captivate mythology enthusiasts. A game like the Gates of Olympus slot allows fans to explore jewel-encrusted crowns, dazzling golds and Greek deities in a virtual setup. In other industries like music, songs like Icarus by Bastille reference folklore, such as the myth of Icarus, who flew too close to the sun with wings made of feathers and wax.

New Technology Used in Filming and Production

Filming for ‘Immortals’ took place across several locations in Canada, with principal photography beginning in Montreal on April 5, 2010. A Variety review showed that the movie was partly filmed with 3D technology to enhance its visual display. After shooting a few scenes in 3D, the production team opted for a conversion route to reduce costs. The look of the film was further enhanced with Renaissance painting styles.

Trevor Morris composed and produced the film’s musical score, which added emotional depth to the already tight storyline. Tracks like ‘Hyperion’s Siren’, ‘To Mount Olympus’, ‘My Own Heart’, and many others are featured in different scenes.

Immortals’ Continued Success and Relevance

‘Immortals’ was released in November 2011 by Relativity Media to mixed reviews from critics but achieved moderate success at the box office, grossing over $227 million worldwide. This was after the production process cost approximately $75 million. ‘Immortals’ had initially premiered in Los Angeles early on in the same month. MTV celebrated the film as one of the year’s best films, while Guy Loges listed it among the top twenty films of 2011.

In March 2012, the film was released on DVD, Blu-ray Disc and 3D in the UK, US and Canadian markets. It sold over 1.2 million units during the first week through the 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and approximately 650,000 DVD units in the last week of March. Another 100,000 3D units were sold during the first week of the US release. The film enjoyed a multicultural penetration, with Russia, China and South Korea ranking as the movie’s highest-grossing territories.

Overall, Immortals’ visual spectacle and action-packed scenes have cemented its status as a notable entry in the fantasy genre. With more content creators turning to age-old themes like ancient Greek mythologies, we will likely see more adaptations similar to ‘Immortals’.

Watch: Zayn releases live performance of ‘Alienated’

0

Zayn has released a rare live performance to mark the release of new single ‘Alienated’, the second to be taken from his upcoming album ‘Room Under the Stairs’.

This marks the first live performance from Zayn since 2016 and it showcases his impressive vocals. The former One Direction star has rarely performed live since departing from the band. Watch the performance below:

Zayn commented, “‘Alienated’ was the first song I wrote for the album, so it kind of set the tone for the whole project – it shaped the way I  wanted  to  approach  the  sound  of  my  own  voice, the styling of the guitars and the overall sonic direction.”

‘Room Under the Stairs’ has been six years in the making and Zayn wrote and crafted the record at his home in rural Pennsylvania. Described as his most personal album so far, ‘Room Under the Stairs’ is a departure sonically for Zayn. The first taster from the album was ‘What I Am‘, which was released earlier this year.

Talking about the record Zayn says, “This is my favorite album that I’ve made to date, mainly because it comes from a place of sheer honesty and vulnerability. I wanted each song to feel as if it was just me sitting beside you telling you how I feel, singing directly to you. It’s raw and stripped back and the type of music I always hoped to make.”

He continues, “Working with Dave Cobb has been an amazing experience. The way he’s elevated the music is second to none, and he has done an incredible job helping me create this record. I hope we can take listeners on some whimsical, magical journey, and that they enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.”

“I think just being where I was at that time, staying away from things and living with my own thoughts inspired me to want to write something from that place. I’ve got to put this out as a whole body of work, it’s something for myself, not even just for the world.”
