Nashville singer-songwriter and guitarist Stephen Wilson Jr. has released his latest track ‘Dig A Hole,' a brooding and atmospheric cut written for the upcoming Netflix series The Waterfront.
Co-written with Audra Mae Butts and Hillary Lindsey, the song features Wilson Jr.'s trademark haunting vocals and cryptic lyrics, including the refrain “I better save my strength, it’s harder than you think to dig a hole.” The release adds to a growing wave of momentum for Wilson Jr., who was recently named to Rolling Stone’s 2025 Future of Music class.
Following the single's release, Wilson Jr. is set to return to the UK for a sold-out tour, including a highly anticipated performance at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday, June 28. Known for his genre-blending mix of indie, grunge, and country, the rising artist is also celebrating the deluxe edition of his acclaimed debut double album ‘søn of dad,' out now on Big Loud Records.
The expanded release features two new songs from his viral Live at the Print Shop session, including the poignant ‘I’m A Song' and a powerful reinterpretation of Ben E. King’s ‘Stand By Me,' which has amassed more than 20 million views online. The deluxe version also includes ten acoustic renditions of fan favourites, showcasing the raw emotional core that has made Wilson Jr. one of the most compelling new voices in Americana.
