The much-anticipated UK Americana Music Week, powered by Sweet Home Alabama, is set to take Hackney, London, by storm on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday, January 22, 2025. With nearly 50 UK and international artists confirmed so far, this two-night extravaganza promises an unparalleled celebration of Americana music.
A Vibrant Showcase Lineup
Four Hackney venues—Night Tales, Oslo, Paper Dress Vintage, and Moth Club—will host the showcases, all within a short five-minute walk of one another. For just £55, attendees can experience an impressive array of performances, from seasoned stars to rising talents, all in the heart of Hackney.
Notable Highlights:
- Danni Nicholls returns to the UK Americana Week stage for the first time since its inaugural year. Praised by broadcaster Bob Harris for the elegance and beauty of her music, Nicholls is a must-see act.
- The Dreaming Spires make their debut showcase appearance, marking the 15th anniversary of their alt-country classic ‘Everything All The Time.' Fans of The Byrds and The Band will not want to miss this set.
- Multi-award-winning artist Robert Vincent, fresh off touring with Robert Plant’s ‘Saving Grace,’ makes a triumphant return to the showcase lineup.
- Rising star Savannah Gardner, nominated for Best Live Act at the UK Americana Music Awards, continues to impress with performances at festivals like Glastonbury and C2C London.
International Standouts:
- From North Carolina, Viv & Riley bring their roots-inspired sound, following in the footsteps of fellow Durham artists like Watchhouse and Sylvan Esso.
- Americana legend Willie Watson, formerly of Old Crow Medicine Show, performs songs from his International Album of the Year-nominated album in an extended showcase.
- Canada House returns to Moth Club with an incredible lineup, including The East Pointers, The Once, and Julian Taylor, a nominee for International Song of the Year.
