Leah Blevins is stepping confidently into her next chapter with the release of her new single, ‘Be Careful Throwing Stones,' out today. The track arrives just weeks after she introduced her Dan Auerbach–produced album with its title song, ‘All Dressed Up.'
Co-written with Auerbach and acclaimed songwriter Daniel Tashian, the new single highlights Blevins’ unmistakable vocal purity, vivid storytelling and emotional depth while weaving in a touch of ’70s-inspired polish. It follows the early momentum of ‘All Dressed Up,' recently spotlighted as a ‘hot new track' by Barnburner, and offers another glimpse into the warm, nostalgic-yet-modern sound of her upcoming album.
Be Careful Throwing Stones leans into a dreamy southern rock sway, creating a spacious setting for Blevins’ soaring vocals and introspective lyrics to take centre stage. The song explores emotional vulnerability and self-preservation, pairing heartache with grounded wisdom.
Raised on the Kentucky-rooted country of Loretta Lynn, Patty Loveless, Dwight Yoakam and fellow Sandy Hook native Keith Whitley, Blevins continues to carry forward a storytelling tradition built on honesty and humanity. Her forthcoming album arrives March 20, 2026. Fans can listen to ‘Be Careful Throwing Stones' now and pre-save the full album here.
