Faster Horses music festival shines in Michigan

The Faster Horses Music and Camping Festival made a triumphant return to Brooklyn, Michigan, this weekend, delivering a “star-studded lineup” (Vanity Fair) that thrilled country music fans. The festival featured headliners Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, and HARDY, solidifying its reputation as “a hotbed for country music fans” (American Songwriter) and one of the summer's most anticipated events.

The three-day extravaganza kicked off on Friday with 90s-style honky-tonker Zach Top performing under the sun, followed by energetic sets from Jackson Dean and Tyler Hubbard. The evening's highlight was a touching video tribute to military members, featuring clips from past festival-goers who are currently on active duty. Cody Johnson added to the patriotic spirit by singing ‘God Bless America' during his electrifying set. The night reached a crescendo when headliner Jelly Roll took the stage, surprising the crowd by bringing Tyler Hubbard on for a cover of Garth Brooks' ‘Friends in Low Places' and inviting Cody Johnson back for duets of ‘Son of A Sinner' and ‘Whiskey Bent.'

Saturday began with the annual “Faster Humans” fun run around the Michigan International Speedway, where fans displayed their Faster Horses spirit before diving into a packed day of music. Performances from Alexandra Kay, Sawyer Brown, and Shane Smith & The Saints kept the energy high across two stages. Seven-time ACM Group of the Year” winners Old Dominion captivated the crowd with fan favorites as the sun set. Lainey Wilson closed out the night in spectacular fashion, arriving on stage atop a vintage orange truck. She performed hits like ‘Heart Like A Truck' and ‘Watermelon Moonshine,' and even invited a young fan on stage, crowning her “cowgirl of the night.”

The sunshine and good times continued into Sunday, rounding out the weekend with vibrant performances from Tigirlily Gold, Ashley Cooke, Kip Moore and Riley Green. HARDY lit up the stage with his genre-melding anthems and high-energy live production, featuring pyrotechnics, rolling smoke and bright strobe lights.

The Faster Horses Festival continues to be a highlight of the summer for country music enthusiasts, combining unforgettable performances, community spirit, and a celebration of American traditions.
