Parmalee have reached a major new milestone with their sixth No. 1 single at country radio, as ‘Cowgirl' becomes the band’s longest-running chart-topper to date. The track, released via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville and Stoney Creek Records, spent four weeks at the summit of the Billboard Country Airplay chart — the longest-leading hit by a group of three or more members in nearly 14 years — and added a further two weeks at No. 1 on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart. With the achievement, Parmalee stand alone as the only band in the past year to secure multiple weeks at the top of the Country Airplay charts. ‘Cowgirl' serves as the lead single from the band’s album ‘Fell In Love With A Cowgirl' and marks their fifth consecutive No. 1, sixth overall.
Reflecting on the success, lead singer Matt Thomas said: “Bringing in the new year with the number one song in the country is crazy. It’s great to see the song connect with so many people and continue to grow. I feel like it’s just getting started. Cheers to 2026 y’all!” Comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, cousin Barry Knox and lifelong friend Josh McSwain, Parmalee have long held headliner status, bolstered by over 1.6 billion on-demand streams and a catalogue packed with platinum singles. Named Billboard’s most-played country act of 2022 for their breakout hit ‘Take My Name,' the band closed out 2025 by teasing more new music with the release of ‘How Do I Let You Go' and have just wrapped their Feels Like Home Tour. Parmalee will continue their run on the road in 2026, with tickets available now for the following dates:
