Global superstar Luke Combs has announced the release of his highly anticipated new album, ‘The Way I Am,' arriving March 20 via Sony Music Nashville. Ahead of the album’s release, Combs has shared a brand new track, ‘Sleepless in a Hotel Room,' written alongside Randy Montana and Jonathan Singleton, giving fans an early glimpse into the next chapter of his ever-expanding catalogue. Pre-order or pre-save the album right here.
Reflecting on the project, Combs says the album has been a long time in the making and represents a moment of real pride in his career. He notes that ‘Sleepless in a Hotel Room' has been a favourite of his for some time and that seeing fans respond so enthusiastically to the song has been especially rewarding. Produced by Combs alongside Singleton and Chip Matthews, ‘The Way I Am' further cements his reputation as one of country music’s most compelling voices and storytellers.
The 22-track album balances vulnerability with stadium-sized anthems, as Combs explores life beyond the spotlight. Themes of family, self-doubt, self-belief and the ongoing challenge of balancing career ambitions with personal priorities run throughout the record. The album includes previously released tracks such as ‘My Kinda Saturday Night,' ‘Days Like These,' '15 Minutes,' ‘Giving Her Away' and ‘Back in the Saddle,' with the full track listing set to be revealed soon.
To celebrate the release, Combs will launch his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour this spring, featuring sold-out stadium shows across the U.S., U.K. and Europe. Highlights include three nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, two nights at Edinburgh’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield, two nights at Ireland’s Slane Castle, two nights at Green Bay’s Lambeau Field, as well as major stops at Notre Dame Stadium, Neyland Stadium, Ohio Stadium, Paris’ Accor Arena and Sweden’s Ullevi.
The new album builds on an already historic run for Combs. In the past year alone, he became the first country artist to headline both Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, while also topping the bill at genre-spanning festivals such as Austin City Limits, Newport Folk Festival and New Orleans JazzFest. He is also the first country artist to have two songs surpass one billion streams on Spotify, the first with four RIAA Diamond-certified singles, and recently extended his record for the most consecutive number one singles at country radio with his 20th chart-topper, ‘Back in the Saddle.'
These milestones follow his most recent album, Fathers & Sons, a deeply personal project inspired by his experiences as a father and the bond between parents and children. The record further broadened his reach beyond the country world, with NPR Music noting that Combs has moved beyond the genre to become a true global pop star.
