Dasha, the RIAA globally certified 49x Platinum country-pop star, has released her latest single ‘Train,' a heartfelt track exploring the meaning of home. Out now via Warner Records, the song offers another preview of her upcoming Anna EP, which arrives October 10. The release coincides with the start of her Canadian headline tour, as the rising artist continues to build on her breakout momentum.
‘Train' begins with Dasha reflecting on the disruptive sound of a passing locomotive outside her window, before unfolding into a meditation on how time and routine can transform unfamiliar places into something comforting. With a steady build of acoustic strum, dobro, piano, pedal steel, and drums, the track evolves alongside her perspective, culminating in a nostalgic hook about finding home in unexpected ways.
Written by other Nashville songwriters, the cut marks Dasha’s first outside composition. “It instantly took me back to being 18, leaving home and moving to Nashville to study songwriting at Belmont,” she shared, adding that the song feels like pages from her own diary.
The single follows recent releases ‘Like It Like That,' ‘Oh, Anna!' and her viral smash ‘Not At This Party,' which has earned more than 127 million streams and a David Guetta remix, along with a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Dasha, born Anna Dasha Novotny, describes the ‘Anna EP' as a personal project reconnecting her with her roots: “I’ve remembered who Anna is. I can’t wait for y’all to get to know her, too.”
Already a nominee at the 2025 ACM Awards and MTV VMAs, Dasha has become one of country’s fastest-rising stars, appearing at Stagecoach, Austin City Limits, and CMA Fest, while selling out her first global tour and performing on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Her breakthrough single ‘Austin (Boots Stop Workin’),' released in 2023, remains a cultural phenomenon with more than 1.5 billion streams.
Dasha will continue her busy schedule this fall, joining Kane Brown on his UK arena tour.
