‘Clerks & Quirks’ demo now available on Steam

‘Clerks & Quirks' launches on PC Steam later this year, but gamers can now play a demo to see what's coming up.

ALTKEY Games, the Canadian independent development studio, has released a demo of its unhinged, action-packed, co-op (and single player) game. If you want every shift to feel like a final boss fight and suspect that household appliances might have a hidden agenda, it’s time to submit your application to Chaos and Co. and take control of the most unpredictable retail outlet in the universe.

ALTKEY Games was founded in 2016 by industry veterans Dany Robitaille and Mathieu Savard and has grown to an impressive 17-person team that cut its teeth on high-profile projects for giants like Ubisoft, Mattel, Universal, Lucasfilm, and Warner Bros. They’ve channelled their expertise into creating Clerks and Quirks, which focuses on a zany, weird, and wacky manufacturing empire that fuels the many insatiable in-game merchants peddling wares to wannabe buyers.

In your new role, heroes will flood in search of standard adventuring gear: swords, treasure maps, magic flowers, cloaks of invisibility, that sort of thing. And it would all be simple enough if your appliances weren't coming to life, your coworkers weren’t flaming balls of caffeinated chaos, and HR weren’t hiding from the madness indefinitely… is the day over yet?

Every game session is unique, so you never know who will walk through the automatic doors next.

  • High-Pressure Crafting

Build legendary gear, magical items, and bizarre requests while your shop actively falls apart around you.

  • Living Appliances

Tools have personalities, moods, and mechanics of their own. You can tame them to gain powerful advantages, or ignore them and suffer the consequences.

  • Strategic Progression

Plan upgrades, optimise layouts, and adapt to unpredictable weekly events.

  • Solo or Co-op Chaos

Play alone or with up to four players in local or online co-op. Coordination is optional, but panic is guaranteed.

Expect to laugh, scream, throw your controller… and still not consider resigning. This roguelike management sim will enthral fans of ‘Overcooked' and ‘PlateUp!', as well as anyone who likes their games with a side order of pure mayhem.
