Del Amitri announce new ‘Past To Present’ UK Tour 2026 Celebrating 40 Years of Music

Scottish favourites Del Amitri have announced their Past To Present UK Tour 2026, a nationwide run celebrating four decades of songwriting, touring and timeless hits. The extensive tour will see the band revisit every era of their career, with major stops including London’s Roundhouse, Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall and a special run of Scottish shows culminating in a return to their spiritual home at Glasgow’s iconic Barrowland Ballroom.

Emerging from Glasgow’s indie scene in the late 1980s, Del Amitri quickly established themselves as one of Britain’s most distinctive bands, known for emotionally sharp lyrics and soaring melodic hooks. Their 1989 breakthrough album ‘Waking Hours' propelled them into the mainstream thanks to the enduring hit ‘Nothing Ever Happens,' beginning a chart run that included fan favourites such as ‘Always The Last To Know' and the US Top 10 single ‘Roll To Me.' Across six studio albums released between 1985 and 2002, the band sold more than six million records worldwide, cementing a legacy that continues to resonate across generations.

Following an extended hiatus, founding members Justin Currie and Iain Harvie reunited for a series of acclaimed live performances before returning in 2021 with ‘Fatal Mistakes,' their first studio album in 18 years. Released via Cooking Vinyl, the record marked a celebrated comeback and was followed by extensive touring throughout the UK, Europe, Australia and North America.

The Past To Present tour promises a career-spanning setlist drawing from early breakthrough material, chart successes, later fan favourites and newer songs, offering audiences a full-circle look at one of the UK’s most beloved bands. With their catalogue still connecting powerfully with listeners old and new, the shows are set to highlight why Del Amitri remain a vital live act four decades on.

Tickets go on general sale Friday 27 February at 9:30am via gigsandtours.com, ticketmaster.co.uk and delamitri.info.
