Ian Munsick launches partnership with Triple Tigers & announces New Single ‘Geronimo’

Following his departure from Warner Music Nashville last September, Wyoming native Ian Munsick took full ownership of his next chapter by founding his own label, West To The Rest Records. Today, Munsick reveals the next major step forward, announcing a new partnership between West To The Rest Records and Triple Tigers Records. The collaboration begins with the release of Munsick’s new song, ‘Geronimo,' arriving January 30. Fans can pre-save the track HERE.

For Munsick, the partnership represents a rare alignment of creative vision and decisive action. After sharing new music with the Triple Tigers team, he found their response refreshingly direct and deeply affirming. Rather than relying on outside opinions or prolonged deliberation, the label immediately identified songs they believed could define this next era. While acknowledging that success is never guaranteed, Munsick says the combination of his evolving sound and Triple Tigers’ hands-on, strategic approach feels like a true 50/50 partnership built on trust and shared belief.

Triple Tigers co-presidents Kevin Herring and Annie Ortmeier echoed that enthusiasm, praising Munsick as a fully realized artist with a distinctive voice, compelling songwriting and a rapidly growing fanbase. In a joint statement, they described him as a unique force in modern country music and said they are eager to help bring his vision to an even wider audience.

Written by Munsick alongside Devin Dawson and Mike Robinson, and produced by Munsick and Robinson, ‘Geronimo' marks his first new release since his 2025 album ‘Eagle Feather.' That project earned widespread praise, with Rolling Stone noting how deeply it was shaped by Western landscapes, Native American stories and the enduring romance of the cowboy myth.

Munsick describes ‘Geronimo' as the perfect word to capture this moment of transition and momentum. The song revisits familiar themes of land and love from his earlier work, but wraps them in a sonic palette that feels both modern and timeless. To him, it represents an artist standing confidently between tradition and innovation, raw emotion and refined craft, while leaping headfirst into a bold new era.

Alongside new music, Munsick is preparing to take his songs back on the road. His Eagle Flies Free Tour kicks off February 13 in Charlotte, North Carolina, with stops including Atlanta, Bozeman, Portland and more. The tour will feature a rotating lineup of special guests including Lanie Gardner, Ben Haggard, Tyler Nance and Jake Worthington
