Jamey Johnson and Megan Moroney unite for new one-night acoustic benefit show

Alabama’s signature musical spirit will take center stage on January 15 as Jamey Johnson and Megan Moroney come together for a special, one-night-only acoustic performance at The Fennec in Birmingham. Dubbed MOJO, a blend of both artists’ names, the intimate evening will celebrate not only their shared love of music, but also their commitment to giving back, with proceeds supporting the Give It Away Foundation and The Megan Moroney Foundation.

The collaboration brings together two close friends whose professional paths have intertwined for years. Johnson has been a longtime champion of Moroney, inviting her to join his What A View Tour in 2022 and later, alongside Deana Carter, formally welcoming her to make her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2023. The pair have also shared memorable moments onstage, from Johnson’s birthday celebration at the Opry to their recent appearance in The Hallmark Channel’s A Grand Ole Opry Christmas Movie, making this Birmingham show a natural extension of their musical bond.

Beyond the music, the evening carries a powerful purpose. Proceeds from the show will benefit Jamey and Brittney Johnson’s Give It Away Foundation, which supports a range of charitable causes and provides aid to communities in times of crisis, alongside The Megan Moroney Foundation, dedicated to combating bullying and promoting mental health awareness. Together, Johnson and Moroney aim to create an unforgettable night that blends heartfelt performances with meaningful impact.
