Wyoming-born, Nashville-based artist Ryan Charles has officially dropped his highly anticipated debut album ‘Jiggy Buckaroo.' Known for blending untamed Western roots with a signature rap flair, the album showcases Charles’ genre-defying style and fearless approach to music. The release comes alongside the official music video for focus track ‘Stay Twangin' featuring fellow Wyoming-native Ian Munsick. The two previously collaborated on 2022’s ‘Cowboy Killer' and their chemistry is on full display in both the song and the glitzy video.
Charles celebrated the album release with a live performance at Barstool Nashville on Tuesday night, where Struggle Jennings made a surprise appearance. Tonight, the celebration moves to The Fremont Country Club in Las Vegas with an album release party hosted by Turtlebox. Charles described the project as “just me having a good time makin’ tunes with my buddies,” mixing his Western roots with humor and personality to create a sound that is uniquely his own. Critics are already taking notice, with Holler calling Jiggy Buckaroo “one of the highlights in a year when rap and country music have crossed forces to make some of the most exciting records of the year.”
The album includes collaborations with Tyler Halverson, Sierra Ferrell, Randy Savvy, Struggle Jennings, and Ian Munsick, spanning 14 tracks that capture Charles’ cowboy aesthetic and 2000s rap flow. Known for hits like New Boot Goofin, which has surpassed three million streams on Spotify, and other fan favorites including Gettin’ Western, Old Dirt Fancy, and Prairie Roads with My Dawgs, Ryan Charles continues to expand the boundaries of modern country and rap.
