Country superstar Megan Moroney is ready to usher in a bold new era with the announcement of her third studio album, ‘Cloud 9,' arriving February 20 via Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records. The highly anticipated project follows her 2024 breakout ‘Am I Okay?,' which cemented Moroney as one of country music’s most exciting new voices. Fans can now pre-order the main vinyl edition of ‘Cloud 9' in her signature pink.
After wiping her social media clean and teasing a new visual era, Moroney unveiled the ‘Cloud 9' aesthetic this week—trading the blue tones of ‘Am I Okay?' for a fresh pink palette. “I am so excited for my fans and I to dive into this new world of Cloud 9 together,” Moroney shared. “These songs were written by the strongest, most confident version of myself I’ve ever been. My feet feel firmly planted in my artistry, and it was fun to play around sonically while still sticking to my roots.”
The new album will include Moroney’s recent singles ‘Beautiful Things' and ‘6 Months Later,' both of which have already made waves at country radio and streaming platforms. ‘Beautiful Things' became one of the most-added tracks upon release, earning praise for its heartfelt storytelling, while ‘6 Months Later' climbed into the Top 10 at Country radio—her highest Billboard Hot 100 debut to date.
Moroney recently wrapped her sold-out Tour, which spanned North America before heading to Australia for festival appearances and headline shows, including a sold-out night at Brisbane’s Riverstage. She also released her first-ever live album, ‘Am I Okay? Tour (Live),' capturing the energy of the record-breaking run.
The ‘Cloud 9' era begins just as Moroney heads into the 59th Annual CMA Awards as one of the night’s most-nominated artists, earning six nods including Album of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year. With her confident new sound and a string of career milestones behind her, ‘Cloud 9' promises to mark the start of Moroney’s biggest chapter yet.
