Riser House recording artist Meghan Patrick has released her new song ‘Both Can Be True,' a gritty and heartfelt anthem about the balance of life’s contradictions. The track arrives alongside the announcement of ‘Golden Child (The Final Chapter)' — a deluxe edition of her acclaimed album ‘Golden Child' — set for release on January 9 and featuring six brand-new songs.
‘Both Can Be True' showcases Patrick’s signature blend of honesty and soul, delivering sharp, introspective storytelling rooted in real life. Written by Patrick with Trannie Anderson, Michael Whitworth and Dallas Wilson, the song explores the idea that opposing emotions can coexist — that strength can live alongside struggle, joy can follow pain, and gratitude can exist even in moments of longing.
“This song is about realizing how hard it can be in life to truly ‘have it all’ at one time, but understanding there’s always beauty and happiness to be found if you’re looking for it,” Patrick explains. “It’s ok to be grateful for what you have and still want more, or love someone while knowing they aren’t ‘the one.’ Life can be heartbreaking lows and exhilarating highs, and the beauty of living is accepting that both can be true, sometimes at the same time.”
In addition to her new release, Patrick will host her 3rd Annual Benefit Show in support of YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee’s Domestic Violence Services Program on Monday, October 27, at The Nashville Palace. The event, beginning at 7 p.m. CT, will feature an all-star lineup of artists including Kasey Tyndall, Meg McRee, Alana Springsteen, Madeline Edwards, Thelma and James, Brad Clawson, Caylee Hammack, and Andy Albert. Fans can purchase tickets or make direct donations through her official channels.
With multiple CCMA and CMAOntario awards to her name, Patrick continues to prove herself as one of the most dynamic voices in modern country music. Known for her raw lyricism and powerhouse live performances, she’s shared stages across North America and built a reputation for blending vulnerability with bold storytelling.
Golden Child (The Final Chapter) will include the following tracks:
