Country artist Becca Bowen has released her most personal single yet with ‘Mama’s Prayer.' Produced by GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and longtime collaborator Sal Oliveri, the heartfelt track explores life’s struggles and the comfort of having someone—whether a parent, partner, or friend—who anchors you with faith and love. The song is now officially impacting radio, signalling a new chapter in Bowen’s career.
Co-written by Bowen and Oliveri, ‘Mama’s Prayer' was inspired by the biblical story of the Prodigal Son and reflects themes of redemption and God’s unconditional love, told through the lens of a mother’s unwavering faith. Rooted in Bowen’s own life, the song pays tribute to her mother’s constant prayers during her most difficult times. The single’s cover art, which features a photo of Bowen with her mom, mirrors the intimate and emotional tone of the track.
Bowen, a South Carolina native, has built a reputation as a dynamic performer and relatable songwriter. She has headlined festivals and venues across the country, opened for Colt Ford, and taken the stage at Nashville’s Whiskey Jam and Bridgestone Arena. In addition to music, she recently starred in the original musical Theophany alongside The Voice winner Jake Hoot. Since releasing her debut single in 2020, Bowen has won Season 5 of the Outdoor Channel’s For Love or Likes, released her debut album ‘Like You’ve Never Been Loved' in 2022, and followed with the ‘County Line' EP in 2024.
With its echoes of ’90s country storytelling and timeless themes of resilience, ‘Mama’s Prayer' is both a deeply personal confession and a universal anthem for anyone who has leaned on the strength of a loved one’s prayers.
