Charles Wesley Godwin has announced his new live album, ‘Live From The Steel City,' set for release on September 26. To give fans a taste of what’s coming, he has dropped three songs from the project: Cue Country Roads, Family Ties and Hardwood Floors. Each is a staple of his live set, with Country Central praising the selections as “all staples of his electrifying performances.” Pre-orders right here.
The album was recorded during Godwin’s sold-out show at Stage AE outdoors in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on September 14, 2024. Fans can expect his takes on Tyler Childers’ ‘Whitehouse Road' and John Denver’s classic ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads.' Billboard has highlighted his “rough-hewn textured voice,” while Whiskey Riff describes the tracklist as “nothing short of a crash course on Godwin’s influences and deep discography.”
Speaking about the record, Godwin said: “I'm so pumped to share the live show the boys and I have curated in bars, clubs, theatres, amphitheaters, arenas and stadiums over the last several years. There's just something about the energy of a live crowd that you can't replicate in a studio, and I think that shines through on this album in a big way. Stage AE was a special place to be on September 14, 2024, and come September 26, 2025, everyone can experience it with us. Let's go!”
Alongside the album release, Godwin continues an ambitious touring schedule, including a headlining stop at Red Rocks Amphitheatre next month and dates supporting Eric Church.
