The teaser has been released for upcoming five-part Netflix thriller ‘Hostage'.
Arriving on the streaming platform on 21st August 2025, the series stars, and is executive produced by, Suranne Jones. This marks Jones' first collaboration with Netflix. Watch the teaser below:
The series is written by Matt Charman (‘Bridge of Spies', ‘Treason') and also stars Julie Delpy, Corey Mylchreest, Lucian Msamati, Ashley Thomas, James Cosmo, Martin McCann and Jehnny Beth.
When the British Prime Minister’s husband is kidnapped and the visiting French President is blackmailed, the two political leaders both face unimaginable choices. Forced into a fierce rivalry where their political futures, and lives, might hang in the balance, can they work together to uncover the plot that threatens them both?
Alongside Jones the series is executive produced by Matt Charman, Foz Allan and Steve Searle. It is produced by David Meanti and directed by Isabel Sieb and Amy Neil.
