Alan Jackson declares touring days over & plans a final Nashville event for 2026

Country music legend Alan Jackson has officially confirmed that his touring days are coming to an end. During a sold-out stop on his Last Call: One More for the Road Tour in Milwaukee, the 2022 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee told fans, “This is my last road show,” signalling the final chapter of a touring career that has spanned more than four decades and touched every corner of the globe.

The emotional moment at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum, met with a wave of cheers and applause from nearly 14,000 fans, capped off a night that celebrated Jackson’s era-defining hits and lifelong dedication to country music. “Y’all are gonna make me tear up up here,” he admitted from the stage. The show included an extended setlist featuring classics like ‘Wanted' and ‘I’d Love You All Over Again,' which Jackson dedicated to his wife Denise, who was in the audience. The atmosphere was one of gratitude and nostalgia, with fans singing along to nearly every word and filling the venue with homemade signs and tributes.

While the legendary singer may have played his last concerts in many cities, Jackson isn’t quite done just yet. He revealed plans for a “big finale” performance in Nashville next summer, saying, “We just felt like we had to end it all where it all started, and that’s in Nashville, Tennessee – Music City – where country music lives.”

The tour, which began in 2022, has not only honored Jackson’s 30-plus years of hits but has also served a greater cause. A portion of every ticket sale went to the CMT Research Foundation in support of research for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, the neurological condition Jackson publicly disclosed in 2021. Through donations, matching contributions, and awareness efforts, the tour has raised more than $2.25 million for the foundation.

Reflecting on his journey from rural Georgia to country superstardom, Jackson shared, “It’s been a long, sweet ride. I’ve really lived the American dream for sure – so blessed.” With one final show to go, fans will have one last chance to see the icon perform in the city where it all began.
