Finnish melodic rock band Brother Firetribe is back with their first new music in four years. The group has announced the release of their ‘Number One' EP, arriving via Gramophone Records today, April 25th. The seven-track collection marks a dynamic return for the Helsinki-based rockers, best known for their signature blend of soaring vocals, rich melodies, and high-octane instrumentation.
The EP features two brand-new songs—'Number One' and ‘How Long Until Tomorrow'—alongside an acoustic version of ‘Bring On the Rain' and four previously released singles compiled for the first time.
Formed in 2002 in Kerava, Finland, Brother Firetribe quickly earned a reputation for delivering powerful, melody-driven rock. Fronted by vocalist Pekka Ansio Heino, with Jason Flinck on bass, Tomppa Nikulainen on keyboards, Hannes Pirilä on drums, and Roope Riihijärvi on guitar, the band has carved out a loyal fanbase across Europe and beyond. Originally founded with guitarist Emppu Vuorinen of Nightwish, the band has continued to evolve since his departure in 2020.
Speaking about the new release, Heino said, “Number One EP is a sort of interim statement where we wanted to tie together the songs we’ve put out since the covid years on one solid release with some new material of which we’re super excited about!” With a full-length album on the horizon and plans to take the new tracks on tour, Brother Firetribe is set to reignite their melodic rock legacy.
