Darumas have released new single ‘Puerta Abierta', which is an infectious fusion of Latin pop, funk and disco.
In their own words: “‘Puerta Abierta' is a fun, sensual, R&B-influenced track….” Vedala mentions. “And it’s about an ordinary day in our lives,” Aldana continues. “It has a touch of funk, too. It’s a very Darums song that has become one of our favorites,” shares Ceci.
On ‘Puerta Abierta' the band focuses less on introspection and more on joy; it’s a vibrant late-night tune that chases the thrill of spontaneity. Beginning with a stripped-back drum groove, the track quickly explodes into a stunning array of funky guitars, soulful vocals, and sweeping orchestral arrangements, showcasing their maximalist compositional abilities and tight chemistry.
Darumas released their 7-track self-titled debut project was released last year. It was written and recorded at 5020 Studios in Miami. The project landed them their first Latin GRAMMY nomination for ‘Best New Artist'.
Darumas are Aldana, a sought-after bassist from Argentina, who has shared the global stage with acts like Karol G, Luis Fonsi and Fonseca; Ceci, a vocalist from Miami with Cuban roots and a penchant for R&B, also captivates audiences with her electrifying guitar skills, seamlessly blending soulful melodies with fiery riffs; and Vedala, the mesmerizing voice of the group, hailing from Haiti and living in Chile.
