Black River's rising star MaRynn Taylor has released her new song, fan-favourite, ‘same girl same'.
Taylor, who is currently part of the all-female line-up of Kelsea Ballerini's current ‘Kelsea Ballerini Live on Tour' run. You can take a listen to the song and watch the video below:
‘same girl same' is co-written by Taylor, Josh Kerr and Jason Saenz. Taylor announced the track hours ahead of the opening night of Kelsea Ballerini's tour, which kicked off in her hometown at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids on 21st January 2025.
“‘Same girl same' is something that I've always said. It means, ‘That's so relatable,'” shared Taylor of the single. “When I was on tour last fall, a guy I had recently broken up with showed up at one of my shows with his new girlfriend. In the moment, I was upset with him, but more than that, I felt for the girl. I knew exactly what she was going through, and I related to her. Seeing someone with your ex comes with a lot of insight. Like you know what he's saying to her, the places he's taking her, the pickup lines – you know exactly what she's going through. That’s what ‘same girl same' is about.”
Now wrapping the east coast leg of ‘Kelsea Ballerini Live on Tour', Taylor gears up to take the stage for part two of the tour alongside Ballerini and The Japanese House, with a stop at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena (21st March).
