Get to Know: Tyler Braden – Brothers Osborne’s UK tour support

In just over a week TJ and John Osborne will roll into town for a long-awaited UK tour. Yesterday we released an article ranking what we think are Brothers Osborne's 10 best songs. You can read that here if you missed it. Supporting the duo is Tyler Braden, who we last saw in the UK in March 2023 for the C2C festival – we interviewed Tyler then which you can read right here.

We thought it might be worth giving you a little recap of who Tyler is and what his music is about ahead of what will be some great performances from him in the coming couple of weeks.

Tyler Braden possesses a powerhouse vocal grit, an expressive songwriting style, and an ability to deliver lyrics with raw conviction, earning him recognition as one of country music’s most compelling emerging artists. Hailing from Slapout, Alabama, Braden first honed his craft playing four-hour cover sets as a teenager, blending his deep-rooted love for country tradition with the high-energy instincts of a rock ‘n’ roller. Balancing his passion for music with his career as a firefighter in Montgomery and later Nashville, Braden performed between shifts, eventually landing a pivotal set at the homegrown Whiskey Jam concert series in January 2017, which set him on his path to stardom.

With nearly 30 million streams already to his name and a growing list of major tour credits, Braden introduced himself to world as a major label recording artist with his take on the NEEDTOBREATHE hit ‘Brother' and a string of releases since has seen Braden steadily building a reputation as a writer and artist of some repute.

Braden’s 2023 Warner Music Nashville EP ‘Neon Grave' showcased his unique sound, marrying heartfelt country storytelling with the driving energy of rock. The project features the standout single ‘Try Losing One' which climbed to No. 1 on SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown, further solidifying his reputation as a raw and relatable artist. Kicking off 2024, Braden continued to make waves with his viral hit ‘Devil You Know,' a defiant anthem that garnered over 10 million views across social media in just two weeks.

With over 260 million streams to his name, Braden’s music resonates deeply, reflecting themes of resilience, love, and perseverance inspired by his own life experiences. Towards the end of 2024 Braden started to release more new music that focused on themes like mental health so we got the fantastic ‘Head Above the Water' and the very heartfelt ‘Call Me First' in which Braden sings about men being able to talk to each other. ‘You ain't gotta be a tough guy, alone,' he states. Go to his website and you'll also find the telephone number to call or text for mental health help too.

Taking his electrifying performances to stages worldwide, Braden has toured with country icons such as Luke Bryan, Brooks & Dunn, Brantley Gilbert, Chris Stapleton, Dierks Bentley, and Mitchell Tenpenny. Whether in intimate venues or packed arenas, his energy and emotion captivate audiences, bridging the gap between his studio recordings and live shows. With his unmistakable voice, commanding presence, and relatable songwriting, Tyler Braden continues to connect with fans across the globe, proving he’s a standout force in modern country music. We're looking forward to seeing him support Brothers Osborne across the UK very soon.
