‘Fatal Crossing' is coming to Channel 4 and C4 Streaming in 2025 courtesy of Walter Presents.
The series stars Marie Sandøe, Mogens Holm, Jesper Paasch, Siir Tilif, Martin Hauch-Fausbøll and Anna Stokholm. It is created by Arne Berggren and Kristine Berg.
‘Fatal Crossing' is based on the first book in the ‘Nora Sand' pentalogy by Danish journalist and author, Lone Theils. Nora Sand is a renowned journalist who works in London as a correspondent for the Danish newspaper, Globalt. She has striven to gain the respect of her readers and reach the peak of her career.
However, Nora suddenly finds herself caught in the midst of a scandal, when she is accused of having intimate relations with one of her sources in a high-profile case. As a result, Nora is called back from London by her editor in chief, who is furious about her reckless behaviour.
Now suspended, Nora travels home to her ageing father in Denmark in a bid to lie low until the scandal has cooled off. But when she’s given an anonymous tip about an unsolved case, she can’t help but make her own investigations.
Two girls disappeared from the ferry to England in the mid-80s. Since then, no one has seen them – until someone slips an envelope with old photos into Nora's mailbox. The photos are of the two missing girls posing for an unknown photographer. Nora begins to investigate the case, which turns out to have an unexpected connection to the notorious serial killer William Hix, who is serving a life sentence in England.
But nothing is as it seems, and the case turns out to be much more complex than Nora first thought. As clues are found and the tension rises, Nora begins to fear for her own life – there is a killer on the loose…
Walter Presents: ‘Fatal Crossing' will launch on Sunday 2nd February 2025 at midnight on Channel 4. The full boxset will be available on C4 Streaming from 31st January 2025.
