Country music singer/songwriter Drew Baldridge has dropped his latest single ‘Tough People' an anthem celebrating resilience and grit. Co-written by Baldridge along with Adam Sanders, Jordan Walker, and Luke Combs, the single follows his record-breaking hit She’s Somebody’s Daughter, which made history as Baldridge’s first No. 1 song.
Baldridge describes ‘Tough People' as a deeply personal song, saying, “Our world is full of tough people fighting every day. For me, it’s my story of not giving up on my dreams. ‘She’s Somebody’s Daughter' was a tough journey, but our team’s hard work paid off—tough times make tough people.”
The single also marks Baldridge’s partnership with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, with ‘Tough People' set to hit country radio on November 4 via Stoney Creek Records. Earlier this week, Baldridge gave fans and radio friends a preview of the single during St. Jude Country Cares in Memphis, an event dedicated to supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Filmed in Baldridge’s hometown of Patoka, Illinois, the video celebrates the resilience of small-town America, featuring real locals who’ve faced challenges, including farmers and cancer survivors, with nearly 1,000 people from around the county gathering to support the video’s production.
Baldridge has also joined Left | Right Management, with President John Meneilly leading a team excited to bring Baldridge’s next career phase to life. “From the moment I met Drew, I knew I wanted to be an advocate for everything he stood for,” said Meneilly. The new partnership will support Baldridge as he builds on his recent success.
This year, Baldridge’s ‘She’s Somebody’s Daughter' went RIAA GOLD, becoming the first self-funded debut single to top the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart and setting a new record as the highest-charting independent artist on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. Baldridge will be touring through the end of 2024, followed by joining Cody Johnson’s Leather Deluxe Tour in 2025. Fans can also catch his weekly radio show on LA’s Go Country (KKGO) every weekend.
