The first trailer has been released for ‘Gladiator II' along with a series of character posters.
Directed by Ridley Scott, the film is the sequel to 2000 box office smash ‘Gladiator'. It continues the epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in Ancient Rome. Watch the trailer below:
The sequel stars Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, Derek Jacobi, with Connie Nielsen and Denzel Washington.
Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius (Paul Mescal) is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist. With rage in his heart and the future of the Empire at stake, Lucius must look to his past to find strength and honor to return the glory of Rome to its people.
‘Gladiator II' is executive produced by Walter Parkes, Laurie MacDonald, Raymond Kirk and Aidan Elliott. It is produced by Douglas Wick, Ridley Scott, Lucy Fisher, Michael Pruss and David Franzoni.
The film features a story by Peter Craig and David Scarpa, and a screenplay by David Scarpa based on characters by David Franzoni.
