Acclaimed country artist Jade Helliwell is set to release her latest single, ‘How Love Goes,' on Friday, July 26, 2024. This heartfelt live acoustic track, the title song from her highly anticipated forthcoming EP, will be available on all streaming platforms. Pre-save “How Love Goes” here.
The creation of ‘How Love Goes' saw Helliwell collaborating with renowned songwriter Alyssa Bonagura. Reflecting on the partnership, Helliwell expressed her excitement: “I was honoured to team up with Alyssa Bonagura to write this song. I’m such a fan of her music, so I was extremely excited to get in the writing room with her. Before the call, myself and Alyssa discussed our relationships and how you fall in love when you least expect it. We started to write our stories into a song.”
The result is a song that beautifully captures the essence of unexpected love and the journey from meeting someone special to building a life together. “I love what we came up with. This song so perfectly describes my own relationship. We wove personal details into the song, and I feel we truly shared how it feels to really fall in love, the hopes you have for the future, the life you begin to build together hoping it's a start of a legacy left behind for family long after you’re gone,” Helliwell added.
A select group had the privilege of hearing a special version of ‘How Love Goes' in May when Bonagura recorded it for Helliwell to walk down the aisle on her wedding day. “It was the perfect song for that moment. A song I wrote about the love of my life as I made my way down the aisle to him, ready to make our vows for a life together,” Helliwell shared.
Listeners can expect to be moved by the poignant lyrics and beautiful melody of ‘How Love Goes' which Helliwell hopes will resonate with many and remind them of their own love stories. “I hope people will connect to this and it will stir feelings of love and lust and remind them of their own love stories,” she concluded.
