Wyoming native Ian Munsick is kicking off a new chapter in his musical journey with the release of his haunting love song, ‘Cheyenne.' Co-written and produced by Munsick and Jeremy Spillman, the track is now available for listeners.
“‘Cheyenne’ marks the beginning of the next chapter of my musical story,” Munsick shares. “It’s been over a year since the release of my last album ‘White Buffalo' and through that project, I’ve been led to where I am today.”
A Tribute to His Western Roots
‘Cheyenne' exemplifies Munsick’s mission to “bring the west to the rest” and reinforces his reputation for reintroducing the western spirit into country music. The song pays homage to his home state and its famous rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days, held every July. It tells the tale of a fleeting love between a man rooted in his homeland and a woman as free-spirited as the rodeo itself.
“They say great artists reinvent themselves, and that’s always my number one goal with every new project,” Munsick explains. “You will always hear what inspires me creatively: family, faith, and the west. But sonically, this new music will hit different. ‘Cheyenne’ is the cornerstone of what you can expect from me as we embark on this next voyage into the western world through my eyes and ears. Memorable Performances and Upcoming Tours
Munsick recently celebrated a milestone with his sold-out headlining debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on June 5. The night was filled with 24 songs and surprise moments, culminating in a special on-stage adoption into The Crow Tribe, expanding his musical family.
This fall, Munsick will return to the Rocky Mountain region with his Country & WESTern Tour presented by Boot Barn, featuring nine shows across the west. He is also headlining his Boots, Buckles & Bolos Tour and will appear on select dates of Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again Tour this summer.
