Following the recent release of his new single Losing Sleep, Chris Young has announced that he will be releasing a new album of the same name in October.
Arriving on 20th October 2017, Losing Sleep is Youngās seventh album and the follow-up to 2015ās Iām Cominā Over, which shot straight in to the charts at number one and has picked up numerous awards. Young revealed the news during a live Facebook stream with fans.
āI think the experimentation I did on Iām Cominā Over was the most I had really done,ā said Young. āSo with Losing Sleep it was about continuing that. Thereās stuff like the lead track, which is really different sonically from a lot of things in my catalog ā and there are going to be things that feel more familiar, too. Each song has a unique vibe and life to it.ā
Losing Sleep is produced by Young and Corey Crowder and it features the single of the same name. At this time the details of the track list and writing credits are being kept tightly under wraps but as soon as they are revealed, weāll have them here for you.
The new album is Youngās third in less than two years after 2015ās Iām Cominā Over and 2016ās It Must Be Christmas. Earlier this year Young performed at C2C: Country to Country and he teased that new music was imminent.
His performance was one of the highlights of the festival and heās spent several years building up a solid fanbase here in the UK.
Over his career to date, Young has notched up 9 number one singles including Iām Cominā Over and Think Of You featuring Cassadee Pope. He is also on the road with Jason Aldean for the They Donāt Know Tour until October when heāll resume his own headline dates.
