Olly Murs has scored his fourth consecutive number 1 album tonight as his latest release 24 HRS tops the UK charts.
Selling 58,000 copies in its first week, the album has knocked Robbie Williams’ The Heavy Entertainment Show off the top spot after just one week. He’s the first X Factor solo artist to achieve four number 1 albums, making him the most successful solo artist to come from the talent show.
“I am so excited and happy to have 24 HRS go in at Number 1.” Olly says of this achievement. “Itās the most personal album Iāve ever made, and Iām really proud of it. Its amazing to have had 4 No.1 Albums in a row so thanks to my fans for continuing to support me!”
Over his career to date Olly has recorded four multi-platinum albums and topped the singles chart 4 times. He has sold over 10 million albums.
The next single from 24 HRS will be Years and Years, which will arrive on 23rd December 2016. It’s the follow-up to Grow Up.
In 2017 Olly will hit the road for a 23 date UK tour.
