Lost Oasis: Central London transforms into a new lush Summer sanctuary

St Martin-in-the-Fields is about to become the most unexpected escape in the capital this summer, as Lost Oasis arrives to transform the heart of Trafalgar Square into a sprawling, immersive garden retreat. Running from June through August 2026, the experience promises to blur the line between city and nature—swapping concrete for climbing greenery, towering palms and fragrant jasmine in a bold reimagining of what urban space can feel like. Created in collaboration with The Lost Gardens of Heligan and visionary designers including Blue Forest, Lost Oasis isn’t your typical pop-up, it’s a fully realised environment. Timber structures wind through dense, tropical planting curated with Architectural Plants, surrounding visitors in layers of exotic foliage and sensory detail. The result is less a temporary installation and more a living, breathing ecosystem dropped into the centre of London—one designed to slow you down, draw you in and immerse you completely.

But Lost Oasis is as much about flavour and culture as it is about landscape. Across the summer, a rotating line-up of acclaimed chefs including Nathan Outlaw, Simon Stallard, Jordan Bailey, Emily Scott, Adam Handling and Sally Abé will take up residency, each bringing their own culinary perspective to the space. It’s a rare chance to experience high-end dining in an environment that feels both wild and carefully curated.

Entertainment runs just as deep. From live music curated by Sofar Sounds to comedy, alongside major sporting screenings including the FIFA World Cup, Wimbledon and the British Grand Prix, the programme is designed to carry visitors from laid-back afternoons into lively summer nights. Whether you’re dropping in after work or settling in for a full evening, the space adapts to the rhythm of the day.

At the centre of it all sits the striking Mud Maid Bar, inspired by Heligan’s iconic sculpture, alongside playful installations like the Cornish Orchard Cider Tree, where guests can pour their own drink straight from its branches. For something more low-key, The Whispering Bar offers a tucked-away haven of rosé, wine and seasonal serves beneath a treehouse canopy.

More than just an event, Lost Oasis feels like a statement: an invitation to rethink how we experience cities. With its blend of nature, food, music and design, it offers Londoners a rare kind of escape: one that doesn’t require leaving the city at all. Book your tickets right here.
