Luke Grimes announces deeply personal new album ‘Redbird’

Luke Grimes is set to release his new album ‘Redbird' on April 3 via Range Music and MCA Nashville, marking what he describes as his most personal musical statement yet. Produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, the ten-track collection draws on classic country textures and organic instrumentation while placing Grimes’ warm baritone and reflective songwriting front and centre. The first taste of the record, ‘Love You Now,' is already available, offering a glimpse into an album shaped by themes of love, loss, faith and growth. Grimes has described the project as cathartic, explaining that music often becomes the only way to process life’s emotional extremes, even when the themes themselves remain universal.

Recorded largely at Georgia Mae Studio in Savannah and the historic RCA Studio A in Nashville, ‘Redbird' leans toward stripped-back storytelling rather than high-gloss production. Grimes co-wrote much of the material, playing acoustic guitar, percussion and drums during sessions that favoured honesty and musical chemistry. The album continues a creative expansion that began with his debut record and breakout track ‘No Horse to Ride,' which helped his catalogue surpass 200 million global streams.

Alongside his growing music career, Grimes remains widely recognised for his role as Kayce Dutton on the television drama Yellowstone on Paramount Network, and he is also preparing for the upcoming series Marshals on CBS. With Redbird, he further establishes himself as a credible modern country voice focused on craft, sincerity and longevity.
