AOR icons Asia announce new live album capturing electrifying 2025 shows

Asia have unveiled plans for a new live album, ‘Live In England,' arriving March 13, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl. The release showcases the band’s revitalised 2025 line-up and features a full performance of their iconic 1982 debut album, recorded during the first of three sold-out nights at Trading Boundaries in Sussex. To mark the announcement, the group have shared a live version of ‘Heat Of The Moment,' accompanied by an official performance video. Pre-save and pre-order CDs, vinyls and merch right here.

Keyboardist Geoff Downes reflected on the enduring legacy of the band’s biggest hit, recalling how the song came together in a single afternoon with the late John Wetton. Downes said the track still stands as a highlight of their live shows and a cornerstone of Asia’s identity. Bassist and vocalist Harry Whitley described performing the song as “electrifying,” while drummer Virgil Donati emphasised the weight of history behind every note. Guitarist John Mitchell added that the song remains deeply personal to him after performing it in multiple settings over the years.

‘Live In England' captures Asia’s classic material infused with the energy of its current members: Downes on keyboards, Donati on drums, Mitchell on guitar and Whitley handling bass and vocals. Alongside the complete debut album, the setlist includes fan favourites and bonus tracks such as ‘Ride Easy,' ‘Video Killed The Radio Star,' ‘The Heat Goes On' and ‘Daylight.' Downes said revisiting the debut album in full brought back vivid memories of the original sessions and reminded him how strong and diverse the songs remain.

The forthcoming release is the first of three live albums recorded at Trading Boundaries, each presenting one of Asia’s initial trilogy of albums performed in full. With more than four decades of history and millions of albums sold, the band’s refreshed line-up aims to celebrate Asia’s legacy while introducing their music to a new generation of fans.
