‘Coronation Street’: watch the drama-filled March trailer

‘Coronation Street' is ramping up the drama this March and in anticipation, ITV has released a new trailer.

With David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) at the centre of the action, the trailer teases a shocking hit and run and an armed siege. The drama surrounding David and Rob in February is set to continue into next month. Watch the trailer:

David’s guilt about son Max (Paddy Bever) facing a lengthy jail sentence for setting fire to the Platt’s home leads to him making the dramatic decision to take his own life, by hiring a hitman to mow him down.

The trailer shows the shocking moment on Wednesday 5th March that Shona (Julia Goulding) sees David hit by a speeding car and left for dead at the end of the Street, but sadly it isn’t only David who is a victim of the hit and run as pregnant Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) is accidentally caught up in the collision.

Meanwhile, viewers will discover that Rob was not killed in his fall at the warehouse last week and he will return to the cobbles later in the month to seek out his sister Carla (Alison King) and demand she helps him escape.

With armed police surrounding the house, will Carla and Lisa (Vicky Myers) escape? As a shot rings out, who is the latest victim of Rob’s desperate bid to be a free man?

‘Coronation Street' airs on ITV and ITVX.
