Tyce Delk continues to carve out his own lane in modern country with the release of his second EP, ‘Everything But Gone,' a seven-song collection that balances traditional roots with a fresh, emotionally direct edge. Rolled out track by track across the year, the project now lands as a complete body of work, showcasing an artist who is quietly building serious momentum.
Hailing from New Mexico, Delk has always worn his influences on his sleeve, but what makes ‘Everything But Gone' stand out is the way he blends that nostalgia with something distinctly his own. There’s a richness to his voice, deep, textured and capable of lifting even the simplest line into something more powerful, and it’s that vocal presence that anchors the EP throughout.
Across the seven tracks, Delk leans heavily into storytelling, with each song offering a different angle on love, loss and everything in between. From the reflective pull of the title track ‘Everything But Gone' to the grit and momentum of ‘Rollin,' the EP moves effortlessly between moods without ever losing its sense of identity. ‘What Would You Do,' which arrives with a striking visual directed by Emma Kate Golden, sets the tone early on — a song that captures moral tension and emotional uncertainty in a way that feels both timeless and immediate.
There’s also a sharpness to the writing that gives the project weight. Tracks like ‘I Hit A Wall' and ‘Bottom Line' dig into moments of personal reckoning, while ‘Mind If I Smoke' brings a more conversational, lived-in feel that highlights Delk’s ability to find nuance in everyday situations. Closing track ‘Woulda Been It' leaves a lingering sense of what could have been, a fitting emotional note to end on for a project built around absence and reflection.
Produced by Ryan Youmans and Lukas Scott, the EP never overreaches sonically, instead allowing Delk’s voice and the songs themselves to remain front and centre. It’s a confident approach that speaks to an artist who understands exactly what he wants to say, and how he wants it to sound.
The release comes at a pivotal time for Delk, who is set to make his Grand Ole Opry debut on July 16, a milestone moment that signals just how far he’s come. With a packed touring schedule across the US and a growing reputation as both a songwriter and performer, Everything But Gone feels like more than just another release, it’s a statement of intent.
If this EP is anything to go by, Tyce Delk isn’t just leaning on tradition. He’s quietly reshaping it in his own image.
