Why Owen Riegling should be on your radar as he releases new single ‘Anything But Me’

Breakout country artist Owen Riegling is stepping into a pivotal moment in his career with the release of ‘Anything But Me,' a powerful, anthemic single that serves as the final preview of his upcoming album ‘In The Feeling,' out April 17 via Universal Music Canada and Big Loud Records.

The track lands as both a personal statement and a turning point. Co-written with Connie Harrington, ‘Anything But Me' traces Riegling’s journey through doubt, comparison, and ultimately self-acceptance — themes that anchor the entire project.

“I think this is the perfect song to close out this coming-of-age era of my life,” Riegling shared. “It tells my story and the things I struggled with to get where I am today. I was always comparing and doubting myself. But through music, touring, and the people I’ve met along the way, I’m happy to say I wouldn’t want to be anything but me.”

That sense of clarity defines ‘In The Feeling,' a 12-track collection shaped by years on the road, personal milestones — including marriage — and the kind of growth that only comes from living through the highs and lows. Produced in Nashville by Oscar Charles and mixed by Jordan Rigby, the album leans into emotional honesty while showcasing Riegling’s evolving songwriting voice.

Across the record, he collaborates with some of Nashville’s most respected writers, including Luke Laird, Jonathan Singleton, Jimi Bell and Kyle Sturrock, building a body of work that feels both cohesive and deeply personal.

The album’s title itself hints at its core — living in the moment, trusting instinct, and embracing where life takes you. From reflective tracks to more driving, road-ready moments, ‘In The Feeling' captures a young artist finding his footing in real time.

Since winning the Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Competition in 2022, he’s amassed more than 170 million global streams, scored a Platinum hit with ‘Old Dirt Roads,' and picked up major accolades including CCMA wins and a JUNO nomination. His relentless touring schedule — sharing stages with artists like Dierks Bentley and Brett Young — has further sharpened his connection with audiences.

The momentum continues this month with a sold-out headline show at Toronto’s Massey Hall on April 18, followed by his debut at the Grand Ole Opry on April 22 — milestones that underscore just how far he’s come.

With ‘Anything But Me' closing the chapter, Owen Riegling isn’t just reflecting on the journey — he’s stepping confidently into what comes next.
