Texas country riser Hudson Westbrook is back with new music, releasing his latest single ‘Hey Dallas' via Warner Records Nashville in partnership with River House Artists. The track arrives as a playful yet tension-filled addition to his growing catalog, built around a familiar premise with a country twist—what happens when trouble rolls back into town.
Written by Westbrook alongside Reid Haughton, Beau Bailey and Lukas Scott, and produced by Scott and Ryan Youmans, ‘Hey Dallas' plays on the idea of an unavoidable reunion with someone who always brings chaos with her. Framed as a warning to the city itself, the song leans into humour and inevitability, with Westbrook acknowledging that no matter how it ends, he’s likely to fall right back into old patterns.
The track marks Westbrook’s first release since his EP ‘Exclusive,' a five-song project that further established his reputation for hook-driven songwriting and easygoing delivery. That momentum has been building steadily, with Rolling Stone noting he’s on the verge of becoming a major force in country music.
It also follows a strong run at radio with his single ‘Painted You Pretty,' which made an immediate impact, landing as the most-added song in its first week. The track, a standout from his debut album Texas Forever, has continued to gain traction, fueled by fan demand and increased visibility—including a national TV performance on Today earlier this year.
Beyond his own releases, Westbrook has also been expanding his reach through collaborations. Most recently, he appeared on Gavin Adcock’s Country Never Dies project, delivering a country-leaning take on ‘Slow Hand,' a song originally made famous by The Pointer Sisters and later reinterpreted by Conway Twitty. The cover earned praise for its confident, dialed-in delivery, further highlighting Westbrook’s versatility.
With ‘Hey Dallas,' Westbrook continues to sharpen his identity as part of country’s next wave—balancing charm, storytelling and a sense of fun, while keeping one foot firmly planted in the Texas roots that got him here.
