Ashley McBryde announces new album ‘Wild’ and drops ‘Bottle Tells Me So’

Ashley McBryde has announced her highly anticipated fifth studio album ‘Wild,' which is set for release on May 8 via Warner Records Nashville. The Grand Ole Opry member and multi-award-winning singer-songwriter returns with a deeply personal project that promises to showcase her most raw and unfiltered songwriting to date.

Produced by John Osborne of Brothers Osborne and recorded with her live band Deadhorse, ‘Wild' captures a powerful and reflective chapter in McBryde’s life. The album traces a narrative that builds toward the moment just before she gave up drinking, exploring themes of identity, upbringing and personal reckoning. Drawing on her roots in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and the lasting impact of her fundamentalist background, the record also confronts the realities of addiction, generational trauma and the journey toward sobriety.

Musically, the album continues McBryde’s signature blend of traditional country and rock and roll, pairing vivid storytelling with a bold, unflinching sound. The result is a project that feels both deeply autobiographical and universally relatable, as she examines the ways people navigate life’s challenges and search for meaning.

Speaking about the record, McBryde said she hopes the album reconnects listeners with a more fearless part of themselves. She described Wild as a reflection of the inner voice that still believes in taking risks and chasing dreams, adding that she wants to speak to that untamed spirit that exists within everyone.

Producer John Osborne praised McBryde’s artistry, describing her as a rare talent who combines natural ability with a relentless dedication to her craft. He highlighted her balance of vulnerability and fearlessness as a defining quality that runs throughout the album.

‘Wild' has already been previewed with several early releases, including ‘Rattlesnake Preacher,' ‘Arkansas Mud' and her current radio single ‘What If We Don’t,' which became the most-added track at country radio upon release and marked the biggest add date of her career. Fans will get another preview of the album with the release of ‘Bottle Tells Me So.'
