Kip Moore has announced details of his upcoming new album ‘Reason To Believe,' which is set for release on May 29. The project marks his second full-length album in just two years and continues a prolific new chapter for the multi-platinum singer-songwriter following his global partnership with Virgin Music Group. Alongside the announcement, Moore has released the album’s first track ‘Levee,' an anthemic, guitar-driven song built for high-energy live settings. The track was co-produced by Moore alongside Andrew DeRoberts and features guest vocals from acclaimed songwriter Hillary Lindsey, who also co-wrote another song on the album. ‘Levee' has already attracted strong early praise, with critics highlighting its raw, high-octane sound and driving intensity.
Speaking about the new record, Moore described ‘Reason To Believe' as one of his most personal projects to date. He explained that the album reflects his inner thoughts and experiences, focusing on themes such as grief, faith and the passage of time. During the making of the album, Moore experienced the loss of his longtime mentor and first producer Brett James, a figure who played a significant role in shaping his early career. The album’s title comes from a song Moore previously wrote with Dan Couch and Scott Stepakoff, which James had always championed.
Moore co-produced the entire album with DeRoberts, marking their first full project together. The collaboration introduced a new sonic approach that emphasised space and restraint over sheer volume, allowing Moore’s songwriting and emotional delivery to take centre stage. The result is a record that balances arena-ready rockers with more introspective moments, offering a collection of songs that reflect different stages of his artistic journey.
In support of the release, Moore will take to the road on the Reason To Believe World Tour, with dates planned across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as a return to South Africa. He is also set to perform a series of shows with Cody Johnson in the coming months before embarking on a co-headline tour with Billy Currington.
